The Message

Inspired by an inner voice, perhaps a visitor, this mixed media, graffiti-photograph-print is the artist's modern representation of the light and space movement, ethereal and atmospheric, yet equally geometric and analytic but most importantly emphasizing the sublime and transcendental, evoking the ethereal phenomenon of light itself. The German philosopher Emmanual Kant described the sublime as: "found in a formless object insofar as limitlessness is represented in it". 

This piece was created in the midst of the pandemic and what started as a throwaway piece, revealed itself in the wake of a family loss. For us the message was light in the darkness, through dimensions, through grief, a message of light, shinning in like light peaking through a window in a prison cell. What will it say to you?

The message requires extended times of introspection and observation for it's meaning to reveal itself.
